Dark Age of Camelot
Version 1.122c Live Notes

World

A Dragon's Curse Campaign

  • Prologue:
Albion
There is an un...easy tension stirring in Albion. Commander Selan and her companions, King Constantine’s chosen heroes, have been given authority over this unusual phenomenon. There is quite the uproar occurring near Albion’s grand church. Find Commander Selan and speak to her!
Midgard
Roshak has been assigned to investigate the distrubance in Malmohous by King Eirik and is ruminating on who should lead the expedition. Theso, leader of an unruly band of treasure hunters and scoundrels known as the Frozen Torch, is now leading the forefront to find lost Midgard relics. The only way to stop these treasures from falling into the wrong hands is to find them first, and that’s just what Sigrun of the Shield of Valhalla, a sect of Valkyries and other soldiers loyal to Midgard’s ancestry, plans to do. Visit Roshak in the Assembly Hall and then find Sigrun and Theso arguing near the Burial Grounds in Jordheim.
Hibernia
The Veil has become unstable, and we’ve dispatched Hibernian Magi to try and quell the disruption. On top of that, a Glimmerling has ventured from Sheeroe Hills and has come to Tir Na Nog seeking an alliance in regards to the unstable rift. The Glimmer working with Hibernia is a rare occurrence indeed, and is worth at least hearing out this messenger. Our Tailtiu allies have escorted the Glimmer here, and Supreme Eldritch Cystilla has been assigned to oversee the matter at the rift's entrance.

  • The Catacombs are no longer safe for players to venture into.
    • Intrepid adventurers should seek out the NPCs mentioned above to see what might be done about it.
      • Please note that any characters logged out in Catacombs will be moved to their bind point or last safe zone upon login. This process sometimes takes two attempts when logging in from the character selection screen.

General

Changes

  • The /appeal system windows’ text has been updated to better direct players to their best course of action.
  • Enemy realm characters can once again teleport to the ruined keeps of Caer Benowyc, Bledmeer Faste, and Dun Crauchon as long as the requisite towers and keep are captured and the supply line is intact.
  • Players can now use the /realmwar map window to teleport directly to the relic towns.
  • All “slow” spells have been converted to “snare” spells that ignore (and do not grant) immunity.
    • This means that all expected mechanics work (purgeable, does not work on targets under the effects of Speed of Sound, Charge, etc.).
    • Snares function like roots, and as their duration dwindles, so too does the power of the snare.
    • These snares do not break on damage.
    • Magical-based snares are reduced by resistances, Determination, and Stoicism.
    • Some spells that were slows have been removed altogether. See below!
  • All weapons on all realms that once had proccing pets have had their procs changed as follows. The affected weapons are:

    • Ice Shard
      • Now directly procs a 3 second snare that ignores root immunity.

Bug Fixes

  • The mouse cursor should no longer move to the center of the client’s window and register clicks in rare cases, usually involving some combination of left+right-click to move forward and attempting to target.
  • Several fixes were implemented to alleviate issues for players who used left-click and right-click mouse keybinds as gameplay functions (such as auto-run, stick, face, etc.).
    • These fixes should enable these players to use the mouse as they currently do on live (or very close to it).
  • Added a /keyboard window setting to enable or disable the "move forward" keybind from breaking auto-run.
    • The default setting will be that auto-run is NOT broken by the "move forward" key.
    • User Interface editors should look at the key_config.xml window in the UI/Atlantis folder to see the new setting and add it to any custom key_config.xml windows.
  • Mouselook is now automatically turned off when bringing up the /keyboard window.
  • Tooltips will no longer draw when in mouse look or mouse pan modes.
  • The /keyboard window no longer allows mouse clicks to go through the window.
    • This means targeting, mouse-turning, or mouse-panning will no longer happen if the initial click happens while the cursor is hovering over the /keyboard window.
  • The issue causing other player-characters to periodically disappear from view when inside the clip-view range has been corrected.
  • Hibernian Siegecrafters will now see the Fortified War Ram Apparatus recipe (130 skill) show up in their list properly.
  • Fixed a crash bug in some behind-the-scenes guild processes.
  • Several issues with taunt styles/spells and heal spells applying incorrect “hate” values have been corrected. This should result in much more consistent monster-aggro management in PvE.
  • Fixed an issue where occasionally characters who had been deleted would remain in the guild’s roster.
  • Omni-regen potions should no longer overwrite concentration-based power regen buffs from Healers.
  • Omni-regen potions should no longer overwrite concentration-based health regen buffs from Clerics.
  • The positions of Dun Ailinne’s towers should be corrected on the /realmwar map.
  • Added a new slash command for custom UI developers to better debug adapter issues in-game:
  • Certain class abilities will no longer have their reuse timers reset by zoning or relogging.

Class Balance

Bug Fixes

  • The Cloak of the Loyal Bainshee’s delve and tooltip now both show the correct value of 35% for the Sound Barrier /use.
  • The Cloak of the Loyal Warrior's group fury buff has had its chance to resist Crowd Control reduced from 100% down to 50%. This will fix the issue causing debuffs to last through death on the Warrior and his groupmates when this ability is activated.
  • The Bonedancer’s returned cadet commander pet (level 16) now properly limits its maximum sub-pets to 2.
  • The Shaman’s Caustic Carapace ability now correctly awards the Shaman and his group realm points for any players killed by it.
  • Necromancer’s should no longer randomly lose concentration buffs when switching between their various forms.
  • Champion’s strength/constitution and dexterity/quickness line of self-buffs no longer overwrite concentration and supremacy potion buffs.
  • Champion’s strength/constitution and dexterity/quickness self-buffs now have a casting animation.
    • Note that Champion’s will need to respec to their Valor specialization to see this fix.
  • Champion’s strength/constitution and dexterity/quickness and Friar’s Grandmaster Staffman self-buffs should no longer trigger a 2s cast timer after their casts are completed.
  • Warden’s self-health regen buff should no longer be overwritten by Bards’ health regen chant.
  • Archery Bola and Patella shots should miss much less often now.
  • Realm abilities now only fire and reset their cooldown when the cast succeeds.
    • A few examples of this are as follows:
      • The Vehement Renewal realm ability will no longer fire and reset its cooldown if the group’s HP is full.
      • The Ameliorating Melodies/Vehement Renewal realm abilities will no longer fire and reset their cooldown if the user is not in a group.
      • Raging Power/Mystic Crystal Lore realm abilities will no longer fire and reset their cooldown if the user is at full power.

Dark Age of Camelot
Version 1.122c Hot fix 7
March 27, 2017
============================

The following client changes are now live!

  • The mouse cursor will no longer become "locked" when zoning or exiting the game while mouse look is active.
  • New mouse sensitivity settings have been added to the character selection screen's option window. These settings work as follows:
    • Users can adjust the "Mouselook Sensitivity" on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest sensitivity.
      • The value of 3 is whatever the user's current DPI sensitivity is on their mouse, with 2 being 25% slower than that and 1 being 50% slower and 4 being 25% faster and 5 being 50% faster.
    • The value will default to "1" on first login as this is a new option, so be sure to change this to at least 3 to get your existing mouse sensitivity settings when first logging in!
    • For users who decide to adjust their mouse's DPI setting while in mouselook or mousepan mode after logging in, the mouse's DPI setting will supercede this new setting still.
    • Remember, this sensitivity setting only affects mouselook or mousepan; it does not affect normal cursor movement. For normal cursor movement, please use either your operating systems mouse sensitivity settings or your mouse's own software settings.
  • Mouselook lock mode will now only function when the cursor is located over the game's screen. Mouselook lock mode will end when the game window is not the active window and need to be re-engaged when the game window becomes active again.
  • Several changes have been made to the /keyboard window functionality to address some outstanding issues with certain keys and mouse clicks performing multiple, unintended functions for some users. These changes affect the following:
    • Media and browser keys on some keyboards will no longer trigger some bound keys.
    • Users can no longer bind the number keys 1 through 0 or the Esc key on the /keyboard window.
    • The /keyboard window now allows the binding of a valid key after pressing an invalid key first.
    • The Esc key will now cancel the key binding action.
  • Added a borderless full-screen windowed mode option to the character selection screen's options window!
  • The Heretic's uninterruptable focus damage pulse has changed as follows to rebalance the spell for PvE purposes and make it more useful in RvR, with a faster ramping time but lower maximum damage.
    • Level 36 – Glistening Blaze – Starts at 85 heat damage and increases by 35%/tick up to a maximum of 75%, down from a maximum of 350%. Cast time increased to 2.5s on the initial pulse, up from 2s. Subsequent pulse tick times unchanged. Range increased from 1500 to 1600.
    • Level 42 – Whirling Blaze – Starts at 115 heat damage and increases by 45%/tick up to a maximum of 115%, down from a maximum of 400%. Cast time increased to 2.5s on the initial pulse, up from 2s. Subsequent pulse tick times unchanged. Range increased from 1500 to 1600.
    • Level 48 – Torrential Blaze – Starts at 150 heat damage and increases by 50%/tick up to a maximum of 135%, down from a maximum of 450%. Cast time increased to 2.5s on the initial pulse, up from 2s. Subsequent pulse tick times unchanged. Range increased from 1500 to 1600.

  • Mithril can now only be purchased with real money (and to begin with, only via the Origin.com store) and cannot be obtained in any other way in-game.
  • Purchased Mithril will be shown and shared across ALL characters and servers on linked game accounts (that fall under the same billing information). Mithril will NOT be able to be traded.

How it works

  • As of 1:00 PM EST on July 18th 2017, players will be able to visit Origin.com and purchase Mithril packs at the following prices (all pricing listed in USD):
    • $4.99: 425 Mithril
    • $9.99: 850 + 125 bonus = 975 Mithril
    • $19.99: 1,700 + 500 bonus = 2,200 Mithril
    • $49.99: 4,250 + 1,500 bonus = 5,750 Mithril
  • Once a pack has been purchased, your Origin account’s email will receive a redeemable code (just like how Game-Time Codes work) that can be applied to your account on the accounts.eamythic.com Account Center website.
  • Once a pack has been applied to an account, ALL game accounts under that Origin email will receive the Mithril.
    • If you have linked accounts that are currently using the same billing information that you do NOT want to share Mithril across, you will need to un-link those accounts.
    • Account security is paramount always, but even more so if you plan on purchasing Mithril!
  • Simply login to the game once you’ve applied the Mithril pack to your account(s) and you will see the purchased Mithril on your paperdoll inventory window, just below where the existing in-game currencies appear.
    • Custom User Interface developers should note that the pperdoll.bmp image has been changed on the client and adjust their UIs accordingly, if applicable.
  • To purchase items with your Mithril, simply visit your realm’s capital city and locate the Mithril Merchant outside the Throne Room.
  • Browse wares as you would on any other in-game store. Purchased items will go into your pack so long as there is space available.
  • Some items, such as mounts, will be game account-based (not Origin account) while most other items, such as patterns, are character-based. Account-based items will be specifically flagged as such and won’t be purchasable if your account already has credit for it. Please check each item’s information before purchasing.
  • ALL items purchased with Mithril are NOT able to be traded, sold, or placed in house vaults. Mithril is shared across all characters and servers on linked game accounts, so please login the specific character you wish to purchase the item(s) on; as once purchased, the items will not be able to be traded!

Patterning System

We’re very excited to introduce the new “Patterning” system with patch 1.123!

  • Patterns are only able to be purchased with the new Mithril currency from the Mithril Merchants in each capital city.
  • Patterns are a way to change your look, without affecting your item stats!
  • Patterns work similarly (but still differently!) to the item Dye system that exists already:
    • There is a ‘Blank Pattern’ for each visible piece of equipment: Helm, Gloves, Boots, Sleeves, Pants, Chest, Cloak, and Weapon (includes shields) that can be purchased on the Mithril Merchant.
      • There is also a ‘Removal Pattern’ item that will clear out applied patterns and restore an item to its original look.
    • Blank Patterns are first dragged and dropped onto the item they wish to COPY in your character’s inventory. They then change from a ‘Blank’ Pattern to a ‘Pattern: <copied item’s name>’.
      • Patterns in this state can be re-applied to the item they copied from to clear the pattern again and return it to a ‘Blank’ Pattern. This is the only “undo” button with patterns!
    • ‘Pattern: <copied item’s name>’ can then be applied to the item you wish to change the look of. Again, simply drag and drop the pattern onto the item you wish to change in your inventory.
    • Once a pattern is applied to an object, the pattern is consumed and cannot be restored. The patterned item will now always look like the item you copied the look from, but retain all of its stats! Again, to restore an item to its original look, a ‘Removal Pattern’ must be purchased and applied to the item.
    • Please note that ONLY usable items by your character AND items that match perfectly can be patterned.
      • For example:
        • A helm cannot be patterned to look like boots, and a Cloth armor helm cannot be patterned into a Chain armor helm, or vice versa.
        • A sword cannot be patterned to look like an axe. Similarly, a two-handed sword cannot be patterned to look like a one-handed sword, or vice versa.
          • For weapons, damage types must also match, so a heat legendary cannot be made to look like a spirit legendary weapon, etc.
        • A small shield cannot be patterned to look like a large shield, or vice versa.
      • When patterning, the look of the copied item transfers to the other item. However, any emblems will not transfer over with the pattern and will need to be re-applied.
        • Dyes and dyability WILL transfer over to the newly copied item, even if that item was previously not able to be dyed. Removing the pattern will revert these dye states.
        • Patterned items also display their name of the item they are copied from in their large item delve window.
      • Finally, ALL patterned items are NOT able to be traded, even if that item was able to be traded before the item was patterned. To allow the item to be traded again, a ‘Removal Pattern’ must be applied to it.

Mithril Mounts

  • A realm specific mount is now available for purchase on the Mithril merchants!
    • The Stone Dragon mount in Albion
    • The Wolf Dragon mount in Midgard
    • The Glimmer Dragon mount in Hibernia
  • Each mithril mount purchase unlocks that realm’s mount for the entire game-account!
    • If you purchase one of the realm’s mounts on 1 character on your account, your other characters on that account will not be able to purchase it again.
    • To acquire the mount on characters that did not purchase the mount (but another character on the account already did), simply speak with the Mithril Merchant in each realm’s capital city to obtain it!
  • If a mount is lost, simply visit the Mithril Merchant to obtain another!
  • Tight on inventory space? The Mithril Merchant will also hold onto the mithril-purchased mount for your character. Simply re-visit the merchant to get the mount back whenever desired.
  • These mounts still require a saddle or armor to be equipped to achieve maximum run speed.
    • Please note that no saddle, armor, or barding art will visibly show on these mounts.
  • These mounts may only be obtained by level 50 characters.
  • These mounts are not able to be sold to merchants, vaulted, or traded to other players.

Realm vs Realm

Emain Macha, Odin’s Gate, Hadrian’s Wall

  • The intrepid explorers north of Dun Bolg apparently weren’t wasting their days wandering the woods and are, in fact, intrepid. To King Lamfhota, who assumed them a lost cause, and Hibernia’s delight, they discovered the long lost Moydruim Castle and began digging it out of centuries of dirt. Alas, Albion’s scouts quickly found the site and scattered the explorers back into the woods while Hibernia’s forces were away sacking a half-built fortress in Midgard. Now their ancient castle is up for grabs. Artifacts and relics could lie baking in the sun, yearning out for brave treasure hunters to just reach out and pick them up!
    • The Supplies for the Cause quest supply crates have been moved from the formerly-ruined keep of Dun Crauchon to Moydruim Castle’s abandoned dig site.
      • The supply crates now have a 10% chance to drop rare Alchemy components when gathered by characters on the quest who have not yet completed the crates’ step.
    • Doppelgangers have been spotted nearby.
    • The realms are quickly discovering the attraction of this ancient find.

King Eirik, hearing of these ancient discoveries in Hibernia sent out his finest in search of a long lost Viking Hall to rival them. Alas, it was not to be – wood just doesn’t last like stone. Not one to sit around and mope, well, at least not one to mope, Eirik quickly hatched a plan to build himself a mighty hall! A barracks! One that could double as a fortress so he could better stage his invasion forces. The Trellebourg was born; and much faster than anticipated. He quickly launched an assault on Albion and crushed their rebuilding efforts at a lake stronghold in Hadrian’s Wall. But the Trellebourg was left almost completely undefended and Hibernia’s siege engines laid waste to its mighty outer wall. The towering barracks yet stands and so there is hope that The Trellebourg might rise again!

  • The Supplies for the Cause quest supply crates have been moved from the formerly-ruined keep of Bledmeer Faste to The Trellebourg’s crumbling walls.
    • The supply crates now have a 10% chance to drop rare Alchemy components when gathered by characters on the quest who have not yet completed the crates’ step.
  • Doppelgangers have been spotted nearby.
  • Will Midgard rebuild or will Albion or Hibernia capture it and turn it against them first?

Constantine remembered his younger days and the many adventures had in the lake-towns among the highlands of Hadrian’s Wall. It had always been his dream to re-build the dam protecting one of his favorites: Pike Lake. Lost to memory until a scout reported that it had been stumbled upon with its stronghold in good condition. He’d had his chance and missed it. That blasted Eirik had found his men and caught them unawares as they went about construction. Worse yet, Eirik’s men broke the dam and now the ruins of the town were flooded worse than ever. What a folly it was to try and build a dam amid a war. At least his strike on the strange archaeological site in Hibernia had gone to plan. Folly. Indeed. Wouldn’t that be a good name? Let it be folly for them to try and take it again!

  • The Supplies for the Cause quest supply crates have been moved from the formerly-ruined keep of Caer Benowyc to Folley Lake’s overflowing shores.
    • The supply crates now have a 10% chance to drop rare Alchemy components when gathered by characters on the quest who have not yet completed the crates’ step.
  • Doppelgangers have been spotted nearby.
  • Folley Lake has its new name. Who will make it their namesake?
  • The formely-ruined keeps and two towers of Caer Benowyc in Hadrian’s Wall, Dun Crauchon in Emain Macha, and Bledmeer Faste in Odin’s Gate have been permanently restored to fully-functional keeps.
    • The /realmwar window should once again show them as normal, coastal keeps and towers.
    • With the addition of the new RvR-focused areas above being somewhat near these keeps, the plan is to stick with only 2 towers so as not to crowd the areas.

Ellan Vannin

  • Safe-port has returned to Ellan Vannin, however its timer has been increased from 60s to 10 minutes.
    • Realms must own both of their “relic” keeps (Caer Renaris/Caer Hurbury, Dun Ailinne/Dun Scathaig, Fensalir Faste/Arvarkr Faste) to be able to port to the safe area.
    • The one-way paths down from the safe port areas have been removed. There is only the single path down once again.
  • Buggane’s Obelisk continues to only provide bounty point and coin bonuses.

Keep Resource Crates

  • This system was not having the desired effect and has been removed.

Keep Ownership Bonuses

  • Outpost ownership bonuses have been reduced with the return of the ruined keeps to non-ruined status:
    • 2 keeps owned - 10% to 2% RPs
    • 3 keeps owned - 5% to 2% BP/Coin/XP
    • 4 keeps owned - 25% to 5% RPs
    • 5 keeps owned - 15% to 5% BP/Coin/XP
    • 6 keeps owned - 25% to 15% BP
    • 7 keeps owned - 40% to 15% RP
    • 8 keeps owned - 25% to 15% XP
    • 9 keeps owned - 25% to 15% Coin
    • 10 keeps owned - 40% to 25% BP
    • 11 keeps owned - 40%  25% XP
    • 12 keeps owned - 40% to 25% Coin
    • 13 keeps owned - 50% to 25% RP

Quests

  • The Ghost Keep event and RvR bonuses have come to an end.

A new "Daily" quest system has been added.

  • Daily quests are just like normal quests except that they can only be obtained once per day.
    • The daily quest timer resets each day at 12:01 AM EST. So long as a given daily quest was not already completed that day or isn't already in progress, it can be obtained each new day.
      • This means there is no time limit on completing a daily quest, just a limit on how often they can be obtained after a completion.
        • For example, a player can get a daily quest on Monday, complete it that same day, and they won't be able to get it again until 12:01 AM (EST) on Tuesday. However, a player can also get a daily quest on Monday, wait to complete it on Wednesday, and then can get the quest again on Thursday at 12:01 AM.

To start, daily quests have only been introduced in the Frontiers as RvR-related quests:

  • There are 3 "always-available" daily quests and 1 randomly-chosen daily quest each day.
    • The always available daily quests are as follows:
      • [Daily] Roaming with Friends - This quest requires players to kill 75 enemy realm players in the open-field (not near keeps, towers, docks, ruins, etc.) while grouped.
      • [Daily] The Solo Road - This quest requires players to kill 15 enemy realm players while solo.
      • [Daily] For the Realm - This quest requires players to kill 50 enemy realm players in any keep that is currently under siege, while grouped.
        • These quests grant players 15,000 realm points per completion, per quest.
        • These quests are only available to level 50 players.
        • All 3 of these quests can be picked up at once, the daily timer only applies to each quest on a per character basis.
    • The randomly chosen daily quests are as follows:
      • [Daily] Battle of Lucan's Summit - Defeat 50 enemy realm players around Lucan's Summit (entire "plateau" area in Albion's Frontier)
      • [Daily] Battle of Uald Heights - Defeat 50 enemy realm players around Uald Heights (entire "plateau" area in Midgard's Frontier)
      • [Daily] Battle of the Cavana Drift - Defeat 50 enemy realm players around Cavana Drift (entire "plateau" area in Hibernia's Frontier)
      • [Daily] War for Ellan Vannin - Defeat 50 enemy realm players in Ellan Vannin
      • [Daily] Brough Ruins Skirmish - Defeat 50 enemy realm players around the Brough Ruins (Albion "maze" area)
      • [Daily] Hvedungr Hill Skirmish - Defeat 50 enemy realm players around Hvedrungr Hill (Midgard "maze" area)
      • [Daily] Nuala's Ruins Skirmish - Defeat 50 enemy realm players around Nuala's Ruins (Hibernia "maze" area)
        • All 3 realms will be given the same randomly-chosen quest each day so that everyone has the same quest and objective for that day.
        • These quests grant players 25,000 realm points per completion, per quest.
        • These quests are only available to level 50 players.
        • This quest can be obtained in addition to the 3 "always available" daily quests, for a total of 4 daily quests on a character per day. A character cannot obtain any additional rotated daily quests on subsequent days until the one they are on is either abandoned or completed.
  • Enemy player kill quests' credit is determined by the group who gets the deathblow on the player. Battlegroup credit is not possible for this reason.
  • These quests can be obtained from the following NPCs in each realm's relic towns, border keeps, or in Ellan Vannin's safe portal locations:
    • Albion: General Kogis
    • Midgard: General Bruki
    • Hibernia: General Vegda
  • Several RvR tasks and quests have been removed and are meant to be replaced with this new daily quest system.
    • This includes all personal and group missions received from General Kogis, General Bruki, and General Vegda.
    • Commander Wentworth, Commander Hrurdin, and Commander Locke have had all of their RvR quests removed except for the Scouting Ellan Vannin quest.
    • The “statue” quests given out by the tournament winner statues can now only be completed once per character, total.
  • All other RvR quests and tasks remain available.
  • The supply crates now have a 10% chance to drop rare Alchemy components when gathered by characters on the quest who have not yet completed the crates’ step.
    • The Supplies for the Cause quest will no longer be automatically granted to characters who interact with the supply crates OR rubble.
      • The Supplies for the Cause quest is still obtainable from the Dockmasters near Caer Benowyc, Bledmeer Faste, or Dun Crauchon.
  • The Royal Accountant's still require assistance with the Doppelganger threat.

Item Changes

Ablatives

  • All item-based, single-target ablative spells that were /used or procced have been converted to melee AND magic ablatives. This should cause less ablative stacking overall since the same type of ablative cannot stack with itself (the higher value ablative overwrites the lower).
    • Item-based ablative have had their values reduced as follows (these are based on current live values):
      • 500+ down to 250.
      • 301-499 down to 200.
      • 201-300 down to 175.
      • 151-200 down to 150.
      • 126-150 down to 125.
      • 90-124 set to 100.
      • 75-89 set to 75.
      • 50-74 set to 50.
      • 35-49 set to 35.
      • 34 and lower set to 25.
      • All ablative % absorbed values remain untouched. In other words, if a 350 melee-only ablative prior to 1.123 had a 50% damage absorption rate, it will now be a 200 melee and magic ablative with a 50% damage absorption rate.
    • Pre-existing melee and magic ablatives have also had their values lowered. So Frozen Medal of Honor's ablative /use has been reduced from 500 to 250 too.
  • Again, this change only affects item-based ablatives. Class, realm ability, and loyalty cloak ablative buffs remain as they are: melee, magic, or melee/magic.
tem Changes
  • The Mythical DPS stat will no longer affect characters beyond its new stat cap limit of 10.

Buggane's Obelisk

  • Buggane's Obelisk will now rotate its locations in conjunction with the rotating daily bonus quest's location.
    • This means if the daily bonus quest from the General is located in Albion's Brough Ruins (Alb Maze) for the day, Buggane's Obelisk will spawn there as well.
      • This does mean that if the obelisk is up in 1 location, it is down in all other locations.
      • Ellan Vannin will no longer have the obelisk up unless the daily rotating quest is also in Ellan Vannin.
    • When the quest changes at 12:01 EST each night, Buggane's Obelisk location will change too!
    • Speak with General Kogis, General Bruki, or General Vegda in each realm's relic town and they will also tell you where Buggane's is located (along with aligning with their rotating quest that day).
      • Realm ownership of Buggane's Obelisk will still show in the /realm window regardless of where Buggane's Obelisk is currently located.
  • Buggane's Obelisk once again awards a bonus to realm points in addition to its bonus to bounty points and coin earned.
    • Its bonus amounts still scale as follows based on realm rank:
      • Realm Rank 1L1 - 3L9: 75% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
      • Realm Rank 4L0 - 5L9: 50% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
      • Realm Rank 6L0 - 7L9: 25% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
      • Realm Rank 8L0+: 15% bonus to RP/BP/Coin
    • Its duration is still 2 hours and lasts through death and logout; however, it no longer lasts after zoning out of the frontiers.
  • Siege weapons are not allowed within 850 units of the obelisk.
Daily Quests

  • The quest [Daily] The Solo Road has had its kill requirements reduced from 20 to 10. Its reward remains unchanged.
    • We recommend visiting the General in each realm's relic town to get the new version of this quest if you have more than 10 kills remaining on it currently.
    • All other daily quests remain unchanged.

World

General Changes

  • Realm points earned from kills have been increased across the board by 25%.
    • This is just an increase to the realm points earned when killing other players and is not a bonus to realm points earned in other ways but this increase does get factored into subsequent bonuses on kills.
      • For example:
        • If a player earns 1,000 realm points from a player kill, they will now receive a total of 1,250 realm points (the amount received will simply display as 1,250 now, instead of 1,000 + 250).
        • If the same player who earned 1,250 realm points from the kill had a total of 100% realm point bonuses (through keep ownership, dynamic underpopulation, and/or buffs) then they will earn 2,500 realm points in total. In other words, the 25% extra from kills is applied and calculated prior to any subsequent bonus calculations.
        • If a player earns 1,000 realm points from a quest or any other non-RvR kill, this bonus will not apply.
    • This increase amount is displayed on each client on the /bonuses window under the “Realm vs Realm bonus” header.
  • Additional information has been added to the combat log window when receiving realm points that will help identify where bonus realm points came from.
  • Hibernia Dragon Curse Campaign Chapter 5 adjustments:
    • Veil Couriers can no longer be feared.
    • Veil Courier health greatly reduced.
    • The Darkspire Portals in Sheeroe Hills can no longer be attacked.
  • Anyone who accidentally destroys their soul weapon after completing Dragon Curse Chapter 5 can now return to the quest NPC to replace it:
    • Albion: Daila Whitesteel in Camelot
    • Hibernia: Midora in Tir na Nog
    • Midgard: Garmr in Drakulvhamn
  • Otherworldly Essences and Ore can now be found at Folley Lake in Hadrian’s Wall, The Trellebourg Fortress in Odin’s Gate, and Moydruim Castle in Emain Macha.
  • Astral armor and weapons can no longer be traded into the Order of Mysteries NPCs for a brand new version. This was always intended to be a temporary trade-in feature and has run its course.

Keep Difficulty

  • The damage taken by ALL keep and tower doors has been reduced by 33%.
    • Please note that this is a first, small step towards making keeps much more difficult to take.
      • Overall, we plan to eventually make each keep within a realm an epic, unique experience to capture and defend.

Keep Contribution Bonuses

  • The keep contribution bonus multiplier has been doubled for defenders only. Attacking forces will still receive the normal reward.
    • Remember, keep contribution is based on kills achieved during an under-siege keep or tower. Realm points are awarded to both sides when the outpost is either successfully defended or taken. This award amount has been increased for the defending forces.
    • Please note that this doubled version of the contribution bonus will only apply on successful keep defenses and not on keep captures. Both attackers and defenders will get normal realm points when a keep is captured still. This is something that we’ll be monitoring and adjusting down the road, if necessary.

Ellan Vannin

  • The Tower of Korazh, Tower of Deifrang, and Tower of Graoch on Ellan Vannin are no longer ruined!
    • These towers can now be claimed, upgraded, and act like normal towers throughout the rest of New Frontiers except that the Minotaur keep lord is still their only NPC guard.
    • As of now, they still cannot be teleported to.
  • The Portal Ceremony timers have been reduced and adjust as follows based on Ellan Vannin tower ownership:
    • If a realm owns 0 towers on Ellan Vannin, the timer is 15s.
    • If a realm owns 1 tower on Ellan Vannin, the timer is 30s.
    • If a realm owns 2 towers on Ellan Vannin, the timer is 60s.
    • If a realm owns 3 towers on Ellan Vannin, the timer is 120s.
  • The Portal Ceremony NPCs Master Vaughn, Stor Gothi Dagny, and Brerend now inform players how much time is left on the ceremony.
  • A frontier portal stone has been added to the safe-port areas on Ellan Vannin, allowing players who port there to port around the frontier.
  • 2 Ancient Mangonels have been added atop the safe areas to help stave off any overzealous camping forces. Simply /control them to wield their might!

Quests

  • Realm points awarded by quests or tasks will no longer take into account realm point bonuses unless explicitly stated. Instead, quests like the daily RvR quests will award their pre-set amount of realm points regardless of the character’s current bonuses.
  • All RvR daily quests now auto-complete when their requisite kills are accomplished.
    • The daily RvR quests now award the following amounts of realm points:
      • [Daily] Roaming with Friends, The Solo Road, and For the Realm: reward increased from 15,000 to 20,000 realm points.
      • [Daily] The Battle of Buggane’s Obelisk: reward remains 25,000 realm points.
  • The [Daily] For the Realm quest has had its kill credit regions extended out another 750 in-game units around each keep.
  • Buggane’s Obelisk location at the Hibernian Maze has been moved slightly south. It remains in the maze, but is no longer in its most central location. This was done to alleviate the ease at which it can be camped.
  • The Capital city ‘statue quests’ Tribute: Peerless, Tribute: Conqueror, and Tribute: Enforcer can now be repeated and completed once per month (resets on the 1st of each month).
    • Please note that players are now required to return to these statues in order to receive their reward; which corrects an issue where the item rewards were not always given out upon completion.
    • The statue quests Master of Valor and Master of Death may still only be completed once.
  • Loyalty Needed quests for the Loyalty cloaks will now grant credit for taking a tower or a keep.
    • Additionally, the way credit is granted has been changed to more consistently grant credit to the appropriate realms:
      • Players within 5,000 units of a keep or 2,500 units of a tower when it is taken *for their realm* will now receive credit for this quest. Being in a battlegroup is no longer required and those in a battlegroup but outside the stated radius will no longer receive credit.

Game Economy

Durability Repair and General Repair Changes

  • A new item durability system is now available to players who have items at 0% durability. This system will cost Mithril (MTX currency) to use.
    • 0% durability is achieved on items that have had their condition repaired enough times to reduce the durability all the way to 0%. While this can take a long time, until now it’s been frustrating to note that there was not a way to restore many of these items. Now there is!
    • 0% durability items can be taken to a Smith NPC, just like when repairing an item’s condition. When a 0% durability item is dropped onto a Smith NPC, players will now be prompted about repairing the item’s Durability AND Condition to 100% for a cost of 250 Mithril.
      • Only items at 0% durability will prompt this request.
  • There have also been some general changes and bug fixes with condition-repairs (condition repairs still use copper, silver, gold, and platinum currencies as they did before):
    • Condition-based repair costs now use the item’s material level (arcanium, admantium, etc.) to determine the cost to repair, rather than an arbitrarily set value.
      • In general, this will mean an increase in cost to repair for most items but will significantly reduce the cost to repair on many rarer items.
      • Remember, jewelry items that do not have +skill bonuses do not need to be repaired!
      • Remember also, self-repairing armor and weapons incurs no gold-cost to repair (other than normal durability loss).
      • Certain items will still have repair-cost modifiers set which will increase the cost of condition repairs; but they will also have durability loss modifiers set that will reduce the rate at which those items’ durability will decrease on repair.
      • Here are the new costs to *fully* repair condition for items that do not have any repair-cost modifications (partial condition repairs will be less than the amount listed below):
        • Material level 1: 1 gold (repairing from 70% condition)
        • Material level 2: 5 gold
        • Material level 3: 10 gold
        • Material level 4: 25 gold
        • Material level 5: 50 gold
        • Material level 6: 75 gold
        • Material level 7: 100 gold
        • Material level 8: 125 gold
        • Material level 9: 150 gold
        • Material level 10: 200 gold
    • Fixed a bug where repairing the condition of items that do not lose durability would give inconsistent costs to repair as the condition of the item worsened.
    • Fixed a bug causing Instruments to lose condition at a much higher rate than intended.
      • Spell-casts will now cause readied weapons to also lose condition. This rate of condition loss should be about equal with condition loss on melee-oriented weapons.
    • Several items that previously did not lose durability now do lose it when they are repaired:
      • Quest and event rewards, such as Dragonslayer armor and weapons or event-instance rewards, now do lose durability when repaired. This is in line with other quest and event rewards such as the Halloween event helms and Otherworldly Campaign rewards that have always lost durability.
      • Blood-seal, aurulite, and bounty point store-bought items now lose durability when repaired.
        • Please note that we will be further alleviating this change to durability loss on these items with several game economy changes (next section).
    • Artifacts, Champion Level 5 weapons, and Class Loyalty cloaks still do not lose durability when repaired.
      • These items will cost more to repair than normal items but overall their costs will be slightly lower than they were prior to the patch.
      • Please note that items that never lose durability cannot be self-repaired and must be repaired via Smith NPCs.
    • King's Epic Armor and the old Epic Armors will now no longer lose durability when repaired.
      • Please note that items that never lose durability cannot be self-repaired and must be repaired via Smith NPCs.
    • The following items have been modified to lose less durability on repair and to cost more to repair than normal items:
      • Astral, Otherworldly campaign, Dragon Curse campaign, Pictslayer, Holiday event rewards’, CL15 weapons, and Dragonslayer armor and weapons.
    • The following items have been modified to lose less durability on repair and have not had their repair costs increased:
      • Dragon-drops, Catacombs zone, Labyrinth dungeon, and Illustrious bounty-point store armor and weapons.

Game Economy Changes

  • The drop rate of blood seals in Darkness Falls has been increased.
  • Coin bonuses in New Frontiers have been increased from 100% to 125% to assist with any added repair costs.
  • Aurulite-purchased weapons have already and will continue to become easier to purchase as the Curse campaign unfolds with more aurulite-based rewards.
    • Speaking of which, new gear can now drop from the Dragon Curse Campaign chapter 5 bosses.
  • A new catch-all currency conversion NPC has been added in the capital cities.
    • Players can now convert Dragon-scales, Atlantean Glass, Blood Seals, and Aurulite into each other.
      • Other uses for Bounty Points are being explored so they are not included in the exchange.
    • Visit the Currency Exchange NPC in each realm’s capital city to exchange these 4 currencies.
    • The rates are as follows:
      • The rates are as follows:
        • Glass:
          • 20,000 Atlantean Glass = 5,000 Aurulite
          • 20,000 Atlantean Glass = 20 Blood Seals
          • 20,000 Atlantean Glass = 500 Dragon Scales
        • Aurulite:
          • 5,000 Aurulite = 20 Blood Seals
          • 5,000 Aurulite = 20,000 Atlantean Glass
          • 5,000 Aurulite = 500 Dragon Scales
        • Dragon Scales:
          • 500 Dragon Scales = 20 Blood Seals
          • 500 Dragon Scales = 20,000 Atlantean Glass
          • 500 Dragon Scales = 5,000 Aurulite
        • Blood Seals:
          • 20 Blood Seals = 500 Dragon Scales
          • 20 Blood Seals = 20,000 Atlantean Glass
          • 20 Blood Seals = 5,000 Aurulite
      • Please note that purchased currencies on one store will not stack with purchased currencies of the same type on another store. This is due to how our stores currently work. We plan on addressing this down the road with a more streamlined currency conversion system.
  • These changes are aimed at encouraging players who have items close to needing a durability repair to replay the game's content for another version; either by re-participating in the directly-related content for those items and helping many areas of the game remain vibrant and active, or by obtaining enough alternative currency for the items elsewhere and converting that to the relevant currency. We’ll be monitoring this content to ensure that these items remain accessible.

Class Changes

HUNTER
The Realm Rank 5 ability Entwining has been removed and replaced with the following new ability, Bestial Heart:
Bestial Heart – Instant cast – 30s duration – 10m Reuse – Requires an active Hunter's Avatar. Sacrifices the Hunter’s pet to allow them to shapeshift into a Dire Wolf. While in Dire Wolf form melee damage is increased by 15%, attack speed (celerity) is increased by 40%, and all melee attacks inflict disease. Hunters cannot fire their bow in this form; but can drop the form at any time to allow the bow to be used again. Pops Hunter out of stealth on activation.

NECROMANCER
Arawn’s Legion now has a hard cast time of 8 seconds.
Now displays a blue wave below the Necromancer when casting this spell.

RANGER
The Realm Rank 5 ability Desperate Bowman has been removed and replaced with the following new ability, Nature’s Madness:
Nature’s Madness – Instant cast – 30s duration – 10m Reuse – Place a storm at the Ranger’s feet that crazes all enemies within 500 units. Enemies within the area suffer a 30% reduction to attack and casting speed. Additionally, any pets that enter the area will immediately turn on their master for 10s and die at the end of their madness. Pops Ranger out of stealth on activation.

SCOUT
The Realm Rank 5 ability Shield Trip has been removed and replaced with the following new ability, Far Sight:
Far Sight – Instant cast – 30s duration – 10m Reuse – Clear all range impairing effects and become immune to nearsight effects for 60 seconds. Additionally, your archery and spell range is increased by 20% and your Standard Shots apply a 20 second, 50% nearsight to your target. Pops Scout out of stealth on activation.

SKALD
Level 35 – Crescendo – Movement speed bonus reduced from 115% to 105%.
Level 44 – Great Crescendo – Movement speed bonus reduced from 125% to 115%.

SPIRITMASTER
Gates of Valhalla now has a hard cast time of 8 seconds.

Client Improvements

  • The nearest enemy target’s range has been reduced from 1,500 to 1,200 in-game units.
    • This change is based on feedback and is made in an effort to allow players more of a chance to flank, peek out from behind cover, or otherwise cleverly-position themselves in combat (especially when outnumbered) without immediately being targeted at the same range in which they can be cast on.
  • (Client) Characters should now move and turn more smoothly on other clients’ screens.
  • (Client) Horse and boats routes should take their turns slightly more smoothly now too.
  • (Client) The “value chooser” windows that pop up when needing to adjust currency amounts for trades, item stack amounts, or pricing now have the following keyboard shortcuts:
    • Shift+Left-click will increment the values by 10, as it always has.
    • Ctrl+Left-click will now increment the values by 100.
    • Shift+Ctrl+Left-click will now increment the values by 1,000.
    • Continuing to hold down the Left-click while engaging any of these shortcuts for more than ½ second will cause the value to continuously change without needing to re-click.
  • (Client) Players should see less crashes when delving items or abilities.

Bug Fixes

  • +Spell Range% auras once again correctly increase the range of spells.
  • The Myth: Crowd Control stat now correctly works like Determination and Stoicism (and stacks) for all crowd control types instead of only mesmerization spells.
  • Sorcerer, Enchanter, and Healer speed spells will once again co-exist with hastener speed and will now also co-exist with Skald, Bard, and Minstrel speed. The highest value speed takes precedence.
  • Item stacks exceeding 35,000 in value can now be unstacked and re-stacked accordingly.
  • Minstrels will no longer be removed from stealth when trying to start a song without an instrument equipped.
  • Forceful Zephyr immunity should more consistently fire now.
  • Players can no longer repair broken Knoc Meayll keep doors when it’s under Neutral ownership.
  • Items that cannot lose durability should now have repair costs consistent with the item’s current condition percentage.
  • Pictish weapons from the level 39 instance will now proc their celerity proc in Molvik.
  • Fixed a bug causing Instruments to lose condition at a much higher rate than intended.
  • The z-axis location of the Bledmeer Siege tent has been set to the right height and can now be attacked by melee.
  • (Maulers) the weaponskill-increase buff, Gift of Tegashirg, in Aura Manipulation was supposed to have a 30s duration instead of 60s. This has been fixed.
    • Please note: The Weaponskill-increase in the Magnetism specialization is supposed to and does grant a WS-increase to both Fist Wraps and Mauler Staff. However, the buff in Aura Manipulation is meant only to increase the Mauler Staff weaponskill.

    • Lesser Irrepressible Mythirian: 4 to 1% crowd control reduction
    • Average Irrepressible Mythirian: 7 to 2% crowd control reduction

Dark Age of Camelot
Version 1.124c hot fix 2
November 21, 2017
============================

Ruined Areas

  • Grouped characters that are within 3,500 in-game units of the center of the ruined areas at Folley Lake, The Trellebourg, and Moydruim Castle will have their Buggane's Folly, Lone Wolf, and unlocked obelisk-teleport buffs forcibly removed.
    • Judging by the feedback we've received on these areas, they are clearly a big hit! Possibly too-big of a hit. This change is meant to alleviate and disincent some of the group-traffic in the areas but is NOT designed to eliminate it. These areas are still a part of the Frontiers and we do not intend to create any areas where only certain types of players or playstyles can venture. While we can encourage a certain type of play in some areas, the Frontiers are a sandbox for all playstyles and players. This change follows in that vein and is designed to encourage one type of play without also eliminating the other playstyles.
  • Minstrel pets should no longer stop for a split-second when casting the Song of Everlasting Fervor (celerity).

A Dragon's Curse

Chapter 9

  • Loot chests from defeating each boss in A Dragon's Curse campaign Chapter 9 instance will now disappear 60 seconds after spawning. Be sure to get your loot!
  • Loot chests should now always drop something in Chapter 9's instance:
    • Some items from previous chapters, as well as Pure aurulite, have been given a small chance to drop.
    • Cracked aurulite has been added to the loot chests that will drop if no other item is received.
    • These additions do not affect the existing chance of getting your class' set armor or the existing small chance at getting any class' set armor.
  • Sleeves, Chest-pieces, and Leggings/Boots from Chapter 9's instance that were missing armor procs now have them. Characters that do not see the procs when delving the items may need to zone or relog.
    • Procs are as follows:
      • 150 absorption ablative proc, 50% damage absorbed
      • 120 point heal proc
  • Several classes' erroneous Set Bonus descriptions have been adjusted to reflect their actual ability upgrades.
    • Please note that the ability upgrades are meant to be useful, but not game-changing, and to work with most/all specializations within each class.

Bug Fixes

  • A Dragon's Curse Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 encounters in all realms should now award credit more reliably.
  • The Pure Aurulite reward for completing the Chapter 9 quests should be correctly awarded now.
  • Chapter 9's Ingolf encounter should reset properly now.
  • Chapter 9's Najah's damage protection shatter should correctly trigger now.
  • Chapter 9's Varshe should now correctly toggle between his modes with the correct visual cues.
  • The Undead NPC in Camelot now shows its pending quest step knot on [Curse] A Friendly Face.
  • Please note that we are still looking into issues with the [Daily Quest] The Solo Road quest credit. There seems to be a disrepancy between the solo kill stat and the solo kill credit from the quest that is unrelated to the region restrictions added to the quest. Given the fast action occuring at the ruined areas, this pre-existing issue is simply being noticed more often. Unfortunately, fixing this will require server downtime and so this fix likely won't be until our next major version.
  • Please note that we are also still looking into several client-related crashes and will have fixes for these out as soon possible!

Dark Age of Camelot
Version 1.124c hot fix 3

Live Hot Fix Notes

Previous Chapter Changes

  • Several balance adjustments have been made to all realms' Chapter 9 encounters to make them a bit easier and more straightforward to complete while still maintaining their fun mechanics.
    • Albion 9.1: Necromancer Janus' encounter now resets properly on failure.
    • Albion 9.1: Necromancer Janus' damage and resistances to damage have been reduced slightly.
    • Albion 9.2: One of the left or right tentacle should always be able to be damaged now.
    • Albion 9.3: The right tentacle should spawn and stun correctly now.
    • Albion 9.3: The amount of mobs that spawn from the Darkspire portals has been reduced to 2 mobs per.
    • The Darkspire Harpy's silence radius has been reduced.
    • Midgard 9.1: Dark Ingolf should no longer chain teleport players at the beginning of the encounter.
    • Midgard 9.2: The radius of the wind has been increased slightly and will no longer dissipate when it kills.
    • Hibernia 9.2: The Supercharged effect no longer has an immunity timer.
    • Hibernia 9.3: Varshe should now reliably switch from caster to melee modes in sync with his effects.

Item and Class Changes

  • The Hallowed Staff /use2 Infernal Blessing is now only usable by list-casters (excluding Valewalkers) and has had its duration increased from 5 minutes to 10 minutes and value reduced from 15% to 12% armor factor and hits.
  • All Chapter 9 armor sets have been given a new itemization pass:
    • Sleeves, Leggings, and Boot stats remain unchanged.
    • Sleeves, Leggings, and Boots 120 heal proc was replaced with a 280 heal proc. The ablative proc remains unchanged.
    • Chestpieces were each given 2 class-usable TOA% stats.
    • Chestpieces were given 2 new procs:
      • 280 point heal proc
      • 5% health regen over 30s proc
  • All Chapter 9 armor set bonuses have been given another pass and improved:
    • Where possible, existing set bonuses were simply given higher values and remain otherwise unchanged.
    • However, several classes were given either new set bonuses or retained their existing ones but still had new bonuses added.
    • The goal of these sets is to make the bonuses worthwhile improvements to existing class abilities and not to grant classes wholesale new abilities via the items.
      • In conjunction with the stat and proc changes, we think a balanced mark has been hit with these sets and their bonuses that will make it worth the effort of fitting all 3 items into a template while also not making them mandatory to use.
  • Necromancer's Icebrand stats have been adjusted on the level 1-4 and level 5-12 versions to better fit characters of those level ranges.

Bug Fixes

  • The Hibernian version of the Solo Road daily quest will now properly reward credit for killing Midgard players.

  • Mauler’s Aura of the Wildbull and Aura of the Farseer will no longer be stripped during Hibernia’s Najah encounter in the Dragon’s Curse Chapter 9 instance.

Class Changes

Items

  • The Ghostly Medal of Valor’s /use1 can now be /used even if the character has not completed the Grave Honor quest. The medal does still require level 50 to be /used.
  • (Hibernia only) It has come to our attention that the following Otherworldly helms were set to drop in Hibernia during this past year’s Mournful King event:
    • Otherworldly Adept Orbital (studded armor)
    • Otherworldly Adept Flame (chain armor)
    • Otherworldly Curative Sunburst (chain armor)
    • These items were erroneously dropping instead of the scale or reinforced armor versions. This has been fixed going forward.
    • Additionally, the above items will automatically be replaced with the appropriate armor type upon login.
      • This means Hibernian characters with any of the three helms equipped will have it unequipped and replaced with the same helm of the realm-appropriate armor type (scale or reinforced) in their pack.
      • Additionally, any of these three helms currently in a character’s pack or saddlebags will be replaced with the appropriate armor type version upon login.
        • Please note that if your backpack is full, the new Otherworldly helm will be placed onto the ground and can be picked up after clearing space in your pack. A pop-up dialogue appears stating as such, so please pay attention when logging in if you have one of these helms equipped.
      • Any of the three helms inside /bank or house vaults will only be replaced when they are moved into a character’s pack or when equipped.
        • Please note that a dialogue window will pop-up to inform you of this replacement.
  • (Hibernia only) It has come to our attention that two studded-armor Soul Infused Boots were set as for sale in Hibernia.
    • These studded armors have been replaced with reinforced armor versions on Hibernia’s aurulite store.
    • Additionally, these two studded armors will automatically be replaced with the corresponding reinforced armor piece upon login.
      • This means Hibernian characters with these studded boots equipped will have it unequipped and replaced with the same boot of reinforced armor type in their pack.
      • Additionally, any of these studded boots currently in a character’s pack or saddlebags will be replaced with the reinforced armor type version upon login.
        • Please note that if your backpack is full, the new Soul Infused Boot will be placed onto the ground and can be picked up after clearing space in your pack. A pop-up dialogue appears stating as such, so please pay attention when logging in if you have one of these boots equipped.
  • (All realms) It has also come to our attention that the Dragon’s Curse Chapter 9 Gloves are able to be equipped on any class, regardless of the gloves’ armor type.
    • As such, any of these wrong armor-type gloves that are equipped will be unequipped upon character login.
      • Please note that if the characters’ pack is full, the gloves will be unequipped and placed onto the ground and can be picked up after clearing space. A pop-up dialogue appears stating as such, so please pay attention when logging in if you have one of these wrong armor-type gloves equipped.
    • The bug that allowed these gloves to be equipped without regard for their armor type has also been fixed.
  • The following adjustments and fixes have been made to the Dragon’s Curse Chapter 9 sets’ stats, procs, or set bonuses:
    • Caster sets' stats have been given a once over to better normalize their stats.
      • This does not mean that all caster sets are now identical but it does fix the issue with certain classes having 1-2% less of certain TOA stats like resist piercing than others.
    • Assassin sets' have had their resist piercing stats changed to +All duel wield skills.
    • Infiltrator set's safe fall bonuses have been replaced with +melee damage%.

    • Bard’s Darksong Tunic has had its extra +10 dexterity stat changed to dexterity cap.
    • Thane’s Crackling Fang Greaves and Armguards have had their resist piercing bonuses replaced with the quickness stat.
    • The heal proc on the Dragon’s Curse Chapter 9 sets and Otherworldly gear has been reduced from 280 to 230.
    • Spiritmasters, Sorcerers, and Eldritches will now debuff for the same value when using the Chapter 9 Curse set as they do without the set; instead of less.
    • Valkyrie’s Purelight set bonus to improve Pin’s duration will now fire correctly.
    • Mauler’s Dark Fury set bonus to improve their damage to power buff will now fire correctly.
  • The Cloak of the Loyal Warrior’s crowd control reduction buff has been increased from 50% to 100% but its duration has been reduced from 15s to 10s.

This run speed bonus is still affected by all crowd control and speedwarps.
This change is designed to assist Hunters in gaining more space or closing down enemies while in bestial form.
Beastcraft specialization

Hunter pet-procced disease spells have had their duration reduced from 60s to 15s.

INFILTRATOR
Stealth specialization

Blur can no longer be used near an inner keep in the frontiers.
This change is intended to prevent assassins from being able to blur into an inner keep but will also prevent blurs in the area surrounding the inner keep; including most of the courtyard and some portions of the outer walls.
This range restriction is checked against the assassin’s location, not their target’s location, so if a target is away from the inner keep but the assassin is still near it, they will not be able to blur until they move further away from the inner keep structure.
Blurring through outer keep walls is still allowed and intended.

The Mercenary RR5, Dissolute Swings, has been changed as follows:
No longer grants a weaponskill boost.
Instead, the Mercenary now deals 25% more damage for its duration.
This component co-exists but does not stack with banespike, with the higher value taking precedence.
Additionally, Dissolute Swings causes the Mercenary to receive 10% more damage from all sources for its duration.
Dissolute Swings still clears all stat debuffs and provides immunity to additional stat debuffs for its duration.
Its duration is still 30s with a 300s RUT.

Bringer of Death can no longer be purged by the Necromancer.
Painworking Baseline

The Chthonic form’s +parry bonus has been increased from 25% to 30%.
Necromancer’s can no longer specialize in the Mastery of Parry realm ability.
Mastery of Parry will still appear on the Necromancer’s realm ability list until a realm respec is performed. It will not work, regardless.
Please note that players using any +Parry% mythirians or items will need to re-equip their items each time they change into Chthonic form for the items’ parry bonus to work correctly.
The ground-target instant cast direct damage storm spells have had their values reduced as follows:
Level 1: 4 to 3 damage
Level 11: 18 to 12 damage

The Knight of Arawn and Handmaiden of Lilith now run at normal mob run-speed and can be out-sprinted.
The Knight of Arawn has had its model changed to better match the Necromancer motif.
The number of targets this ability can affect has been reduced from 12 to 8.
The grapple, Power Lock, no longer deals damage, instead draining 15% of the target’s base power each tick. The target remains interrupted as before.
Power Lock no longer shares a timer with the bolt direct damage spells.
The realm-targeted abs buffs have had their duration reduced from 20 to 10 minutes to bring them in line with Bonedancer and Animist versions.
These are remaining at 10 minutes as they are too easy to “bot buff” at a 20-minute duration.
The Necromancer’s spirit form-enabled pets and their abilities have been adjusted as follows:
Aegis
No longer immune to crowd control.
Hit points reduced by 25%.
Chance to parry/evade/block attacks reduced by half.

NIGHTSHADE
Stealth specialization

Blur can no longer be used near an inner keep in the frontiers.
This change is intended to prevent assassins from being able to blur into an inner keep but will also prevent blurs in the area surrounding the inner keep; including most of the courtyard and some portions of the outer walls.
This range restriction is checked against the assassin’s location, not their target’s location, so if a target is away from the inner keep but the assassin is still near it, they will not be able to blur until they move further away from the inner keep structure.
Blurring through outer keep walls is still allowed and intended.
Envenom specialization

The disease poison’s melee resistance debuff portion has been adjusted as follows:
Level 26 – Widow Toxin – 5% melee resistance debuff reduced to 0.
Level 38 – Major Widow Toxin – 10% melee resistance debuff reduced to 5%.
Level 48 – Widow Venom – 20% melee resistance debuff reduced to 10%.
The melee damage debuff poison no longer reduces attack speed too.
Tranquilizing Gas and Tranquilizing Miasma have had their RUTs increased from 25s to 45s.
Essence Blades has been replaced with a new ability:
Consume Venom – Instant – 300s RUT – Removes any active damage-over-time effects on the assassin but does not provide any immunity to them.
Celtic Dual specialization

The rear positional followup style, Supernova, has had its attack speed reduction effect reduced from 34% to 26%.

SKALD
Battlesongs specialization

Wall of Song once again correctly fires when running the Heavenly Song of Rest chant.
The crescendo abilities have been reverted as follows:
Crescendo is once again a realm–targeted, instant–cast, 7s duration, 130% speed buff at 35 Battlesongs.
Target can still be rooted, snared, mezzed, or slowed in a speedwarp while under the effect of Crescendo but combat will not break the speed buff.
Great Crescendo is once again a realm– targeted, instant–cast, 9s duration, 160% speed buff at 44 Battlesongs.
Target can still be rooted, snared, mezzed, or slowed in a speedwarp while under the effect of Crescendo but combat will not break the speed buff.
This change puts Skald’s crescendo back on an even playing field with the Bard and Minstrel versions.

Dark Age of Camelot
Version 1.124d hot fix
March 28, 2018
============================

Class Changes

Items

  • The Arcane Weapon Shard 3 of 3 should be dropping normally once again.
  • The Cursed Dream Gauntlet’s The Dream Stone /use2 has had its effectiveness reduced from +33% mez dampen down to +20%.
  • The healing-effectiveness spells on the following items have been reduced:
    • Cloak of the Loyal Paladin’s /use2: reduced from +25% to +12% healing-effectiveness
    • Cloak of the Loyal Cleric’s /use2: value remains at 10% but it is no longer a buff to heals cast on its affected targets; it is now a normal healing-effectiveness buff instead.
      • This means it will no longer co-exist or stack with the Cloak of the Paladin’s /use2 ability, or any other healing-effectiveness buffs; the higher value effect will overwrite any lower values.
    • The Cursed Life Gauntlets’ /use2: reduced from +25% to +10% healing-effectiveness. Duration is increased from 5 to 10 minutes.
  • The Ghostly Medal of Valor /use Ghostly Regeneration has had its heal value reduced from 10%/tick to 7%/tick.
  • Illusion /uses and spells should now only last their intended duration and should no longer become “stuck” on the target for the duration of the first illusion’s effect.
    • This means if an illusion with a 10 minute duration is active, like Shades of Mist, and a 60s illusion is subsequently applied, like the Bat-form from the Halloween Helms, the Shades of Mist form will return when the Bat-form’s duration has run its course.
  • Minstrel’s Unyielding and Freezing Vagabond Vests’ Ravage ability now properly gives the Minstrel’s pet the damage boost instead of the Minstrel.

    • The constitution stat debuff component and values remain unchanged.
    • The weaponskill debuff component has been increased as follows to compensate:
      • Level 7 – Weakening Poison – weaponskill debuff component increased from 5% to 8%.
      • Level 17 – Inhibiting Poison – weaponskill debuff component increased from 8% to 11%.
      • Level 27 – Enervating Poison – weaponskill debuff component increased from 10% to 15%.

      • Level 47 – Touch of Death – weaponskill debuff component increased from 19% to 28%.
    • This change was made to consolidate effects by removing the extraneous strength and dexterity debuff effects.
